YOU DO NOT FIGHT FOR YOUR FRIENDS. YOU DESTROY THINGS IN HOUSTON. HATE.
Anyway, Skye told me to tell you guys she was okay. Apparently the eye of the storm passed over them and they all slept through it, huh! Also, she's without internet for a while, so she may be out of contact, but at least she's okay. Phew!

Heh, she told me that she'd probably sleep through it... I was actually gonna ask you if you'd heard from Skye sometime last night, except you were playing WoW so I figured best not disturb.
Did she say if it's just Internet access that's out, or is the power and telephone service out too? If she can get out to it (and doesn't mind calling Massachusetts) she's welcome to use my dial-up account.

I set up bogus away messages to give people a legitimate excuse to me ignoring them. Fact is, I'm far too stressed out to have a decent conversation that doesn't involve me snapping at someone at some point.
And yes, it's the whole power thing. Her sister's dad got power returned to his place, so they went over there where there was glorious air conditioning, but no internet. I don't know what their situation is with collect calling, so calls on the cell phone, I know for sure, are reduced to a minimum.

I can't possibly turn down the opportunity of conversation. It's mostly so that if I do leave the computer randomly, as I often do, I have some kind of message already up.
