The constant protests about Tibet are driving me crazy. I don't know what to think about it. I thought the Olympics were supposed to be like... peace between nations. I honestly don't know.

In ancient Greece the Olympics were regarded as an armistice between Athens and Sparta, which were classically perpetual arch-enemies.
But now they're political. The Tibet thing really isn't new; back in the '80s a whole bunch of nations didn't send participants to the Olympics because they were being held in Moscow, and a year earlier the Soviet Union had invaded Afghanistan.
