What causes the explosion in the start of this whole conflict? I'm having an inspiration episode but it could come crashing down if it's not how I think it is. Also, what causes the zombie invasion? Usually their numbers as chopped down before they can get any decent army together. Oh, and go look at a thing.

I still have a feeling that the explosion should be coming from Sparks' escape. Of course, that would mean some slight alteration to the first page.
But whatever.

Like Left 4 Dead, in a Zombie-infested area, flashes of light and loud noises attract hordes. Zombies live in hordes, and some hordes can grow rather large and tend to cannibalize when food is low. I figured a weapon misfire could have caused it by any one of the members... or maybe an accident or something. LOL GAY ZOMBIES

Because it isn't submitted yet, I could go ahead and rewrite it... Where Sparks breaks out, meets Reap, and they help each other out... while the rest of the group (in their pairs) notices the noise.

How about this: the explosion enables Sparks's escape, but isn't caused by it.
It could be the same thing that caused Ljyx's injury, depending on where we're putting this in the timeline.
If we make the explosion something that rocks the plots of each character's stories, we might as well make it something caused by the main antagonist...or, perhaps, it was caused by a Z-Legion member, making it the reason the antagonist hates said member (intriguing!).
I don't know. I feel there should be more evil in the world than some ambiguous horde of zombies. I mean, it's not like they really know they're doing evil, do they?

Then why have we not discussed and/or created said antagonist yet? I'm working on it; just gimme some parameters so work in. Besides that, what I had in mind was just a single obstacle the group overcomes at some point (like an evil lieutenant or something). We need more villains, people. Also: I think that we didn't go that much into villains because everyone had their own thing going. Especially Arg, who went off on his own story with discussing only minimally with us. Also, people seem to be terribly secretive about their concepts, like they don't want to spoil anything. Hello; we're co-authors here. It's safe to discuss, and, rather, destructive to do withhold.

Rodrigo asked that I not reveal it, and I promised. Otherwise, I would, but I cannot break a promise! D:
