Panada is a big-ass Empire.
BUT WHAT ABOUT YOUR PLACE?
Tom, what the hell is Kerrydon? City? Country? Where is it?
June, tell the class about Archtech or however you spell it.
HOMELANDS PEOPLE.
Panada takes up much of the Western Hemisphere.

Well I always pictured Kerrydon as being a town, which is not as technologically advanced as a place like Panada. Dont get me wrong: the community isnt electronically ignorant. Many of the appliances of other cities can be found there, but most of them will be downgraded a fair few notches and held together with cellotape. The houses and buildings are ramshackle, many of them starting small and traditional, then escalating with extensions and add-ons (generally in the up direction), yet never updating what they started with. The result is probably something like the Weasleys house from Harry Potter. Only an entire town of them. Even though this is the case, Kerrydon isnt really in a state of extreme poverty like you would think: it has a bustling culture, and is a close-knit, 'everyone looks out for one another' community. It isnt suffering any form of financial crisis, the inhabitants just choose to live the way they do (younger generations do often choose to move to larger, more modern cities though).
If Z-Legion is taking place on Earth, or at least future Earth, I don't really know/havn't decided where Kerrydon should be placed. I COULD say "Gee, might as well stick with what I know" and plonk it in Britainland, but that'd be boring.
The town is surrounded by mountains and pine woodland (some of which has been built around, instead of mass deforestation/mountain-breaking-down-ing), kept away from most of the rest of the world. I'm not sure how it fits into the Zombie Apocalypse: should it become overrun or just plain unaffected? i dunno. Was the idea that almost ALL towns/cities were wiped out by the virus? If so, I'll just adapt the idea. Dont plan on killing all the inhabitants though (not really my thing) as I've got a whole bunch of characters with 'interesting personalities'.
If its cool, wouldnt mind tapping into other horror genre resources at some point (only for kerrydon, o' course). PLUS, all this amounts to Dyn returning to Kerrydon multiple times throughout the Z-Legion, or flashbacking or yaddayaddayadda.
I'm getting stupid now SOMEONE ELSES TURN

I think it would be interesting to see that Kerrydon remained unaffected by the virus, either through isolation or through some unknown force, which later is used as a cure.
Um, I'm not sure if I ever told you guys about Architech...it was something I'd created for at story of my own, and decided to just throw into Z-Legion and junk. I really don't know if it should be spelled Architech or Archetech, I really don't know.
Architech started out as research institute for the government. They branched off into pharmaceuticals, which they made only a ton of money from, but still continued in working for the government. They later got their own militia (to protect those researched secrets, of course), providing housing for their employees, and all this eventually evolved into it becoming it's own country, Arcadia.
Arcadia, of course, is a military state, holding not only military control over it's people, but economic and social control as well. As they're still a pharmaceutical company, they commodify life - that to give you life-saving drugs, they'd charge you through the nose. This also keeps a deathgrip on the economy since everything revolves around this institute. This still doesn't mean the people don't live well - with the technological advancements of Architech, the people enjoy a higher state of living than other countries. Think sci-fi futuristic, like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the modern rendition, I mean). Maybe even Demolition Man, or...Soylent Green? I duno lol.
The country is largely isolated, their only interactions are diplomatic with the country South of Panada, and hostile with Panada itself. Thus, there are few foreigners, and life inside Arcadia is largely unknown to other countries.
Arcadia (I made this at random, feel free to suggest changes) exists in former Nova Scotia, on the East side of former Canada (now Panada). Arcadia is actually in the process of succeeding (is that the right fucking word?) from Panada, and is thusfar, due to their advanced technology and seemingly never-ending army of indestructible robots and immortal soldiers, winning the war for independence.
In the post-apocalyptic world, Arcadia is largely covered in ice. Their facilities are thus, largely dome-shaped, and maintain a theme of a white color scheme. Much of the buildings' interiors are underground. The most distinctive structures are towering smokestacks, from which columns of steam pour endlessly. These seem to crop up in random places, often in clusters and away from the domes.
The nature of Architech's motive are largely a mystery. As powerful as they are, they know not to mess with other powerful creatures, such as the near-extinct dragons. As we know, Ljyx was once a general of the Architech militia, but deserted it to be with Evy. Their assassins hunt him to this day.
Arcadia continues to war with Panada, but retains strong ties with the country bordering Panada to the South (whatever it is; we still haven't found a name for it, yet). Arcadia, though being largely non-Panadians when they began their succession, chose their capital to be named Nova Scotia, after the province they overtook, and placed it in an Architech research facility not far from the former province's capital of Halifax (this may change; I'm really depending on which name sounds cooler. Halifax sounds kinda dumb, but still intriguing; I was thinking the name Nova Scotia came from "Architech of Nova Scotia," as opposed to facilities in other provinces, such as Architech of Quebec.").
That's really all I can think of about Architech and Arcadia at the moment. If you need any type of mysterious, alien, or sci-fi-ish enemy, just bring up Architech and I'll be sure to make something up that'll fit.

The country that borders Panada to the south. I'm thinking of naming it after the word-phrase "Pan-American." What does that turn into? Panama?
Or we could make it a pun of "South of Panada." Sosapania.
More to come later. I'm late for work.

Mountains (ecspecially the higher, more rugged ones) are generally good for hiding and being isolated from Zombies.
SO YEAH, HAVE IT BE ZOMBIE FREE... A HAVEN! w00t!
Like Chamonix is a good place... I have pictures from there...

I could be Morbidia... lol... it was the name of the country that one of my older comics took place... it was a really fucked up crazy place where physics didn't always apply... but I guess that's different. Also, Panada is a big-ass country. Lemme draw a mapish based on today's geography (obviously geography will be different in the future but this will be so we can make sense of it). Panada is a jerkwad. Also, the Captial and Latchkey's home is Asheville, but it remains small and very secure in the mountains, somewhat isolated from Zombies. The standards of living throughout Panada vary, due to it's expanse over various small countries (that were all once united as Canada, America, and Mexico, but then split off into smaller nations) so technology and housing varies, as well as culture, weaponry, etc. The royal housing is the Biltmore house. I had a dream about it the other night so it's official.

Umm... oh god I dunno, maybe the facility that experimented on Sparks could be some Panadian effort to defeat Arcadia with a bunch of super-beings or something. Yes and it would be all government funded and make Latch guilty when she meets Sparks.
SHUT UP YOU GUYS I LIKE THE IDEA.

The fact that it wasn't Arcadian proves his likely escape. No offense, Panada, but you haven't got the best security. Oh? What's that? Well, where'd your precious princess go, hmm? She didn't get kidnapped by some giant turtle-beast, I know that. ...

She'd probably feel the need to compensate by protecting and carinf for Sparks... giving him a bigger cut of the bread or something. Spoiling the kid... d'aww like a pet (not really)!

No offense, but where's the eastern boundary? I would've thought it stops at the Russian border, but it's cutting into part of Russia's Chukotka region.
